In compliance with the UK's new Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) legislation, effective from April 29, 2024, which in summary mandates that it will not be legal to sell internet-connected or networked products in the UK unless they meet the following three requirements:
- Products cannot use a universal default password or one that is easy to guess.
- Manufacturers must provide a public contact point for reporting security vulnerabilities in their products.
- Manufacturers must disclose the minimum duration for which a product will receive security updates.
